While the Festival was taking place, we had moments with some of the celebrities and rappers asking them what their take is when some rappers don’t really feel comfortable dropping freestyles.

Right by the Entrance to the Festival, there were many Rappers, known and unknown, so we as Rap type Mag took advantage and hosted a street freestyle cypher documentary called Ride On My Beat.
So as we pay tribute to the Late South African Hip hop legend; ProKid, we dropped his “Uthini ngo Pro” beat and a lot of Rappers couldn’t hold themselves but to jump on it and did wonders.

The motive behind the song Fuseg was just to address situations that everyone has either experienced or heard about.
How long did it take for you to compile the song from Start to End?
I heard a beat by Terry Vibez and I asked him to use it, he agreed and I wrote the whole on the same day. Recorded it 3 days later.
Who did you work with and how was the experience working with them?
The song was produced by Terry Vibez, engineered, mixed and mastered by DJ Rough SA.
Can the fans expect any remix or a music video from this song?
I already shot a music video which should be dropping soon.
How is the response from the fans so far towards the Song?
People are definitely relating to the song like I expected them to. They’ve been sending me screenshots and quoting their favourite lines.

How long did it take for you to compile everything from Start to End?
I made the beat for an hour but only recorded vocals the next day.
Who did you work with and how was the experience working with them?
I worked alone… no features on this one.
Can the fans expect any remix or a music video from this song?
A video definitely, I am not a fan of remixes but it will depend on the artist I may choose to put on the song.
Will this song remain a single or it will be part of an upcoming project you might be working on?
I want to focus on singles for now.

How long did it take you to compile the whole Album from Start to End?
The first single “Bew’kuphi?” dropped in February 2025, and I’ve been recording the album since then, February to September.
What’s your favorite song this Album and Why?
The concepts and subject matter are different, I could be vibing with this track today and vibe to a different track tomorrow.
Most Artists name their Albums after one of the Songs but There’s no song called “The Visionary” on this Album… would there have been any difference if you if you did?
The Visionary is a wholesome concept of the whole body of work, whether it’s about love, wealth or peace.
There’s a Song “Almost Famous”… what’s the story behind that song?
Most people misunderstood the concept on “Almost Famous”, basically it talks about people who had opportunities but didn’t put them into good use to make it. I used examples of artists who were signed to Skhanda World, or had a Khuli Chana feature but still didn’t break through.
You dropped singles before the Album, how was the response from the fans towards those singles?
The singles gave confidence to drop the album, from streams to radio airplay.
Are there any chances that you could drop a deluxe album of “The Visionary”?
No, there are songs I left out of the album because they didn’t fit The Visionary concept so I might drop those tracks separately as an EP.
Who do you want to send a Shout out to who contributed on this Album?
Sam Soko The Great produced 60% of the album. Other producers who contributed were Emmortalbeats, Rickyshotsza, King Mono and Cheelybite Smash (RIP) who passed away before the album dropped.
