On the 11th of October 2025, Back to the City Festival hosted Lupe Fiasco and many South African Hip hop Giants where people went there in numbers to experience the awesome Vibe embracing the Hip hop Culture.

Right by the Entrance to the Festival, there were many Rappers, known and unknown, so we as Rap type Mag took advantage and hosted a street freestyle cypher documentary called Ride On My Beat.
So as we pay tribute to the Late South African Hip hop legend; ProKid, we dropped his “Uthini ngo Pro” beat and a lot of Rappers couldn’t hold themselves but to jump on it and did wonders.

On the 3rd of November we went around the streets of Braamfischer, Phase 4 in Soweto.
We found this one rapper who wanted to try and dropped a verse on a random beat. His name is “Trenchkid Neo Signs” and this is how it went down.

On the 1st of November 2024 we took a tour to Braamfischer in Soweto, South Africa in search for rappers to drop bars on a random beat.
Few rappers were found but were very busy, some were not available due to work and school. We continued looking for these rappers until we found two rappers at Braamfischer phase 4 ; Vet Spura and Mijjo Steez.
We played them a Random beat and they started Rapping, when the first beat came to an end, they asked for another one and they dropped some kasi Rap bars. Shout out to all Soweto Rappers out there

We went to Elim Mall in Limpopo searching for Rappers to freestyle on a Random Beat.
Our journey was not simple but yet exciting and fun as a lot of people were not rappers, some were rappers but were shy to rap or freestyle in public.
The talent is there but people are shy to rap or freestyle in public.
We had to start showing them examples of other Ride on My Beat sessions trying to convince them.
We managed to get about 6 Rappers who dropped bars on beats.
Some were forced and some were encouraged by seeing other rappers freestyling.
That made our journey a success

We took a walk in the streets of the villages ka Bungeni in Limpopo searching for Tsonga Rappers to ride on Random beats.
We went to a taxi rank nearby and managed to gather some rappers including the likes of Jay-Killer, Pop Star, Big Magoda and more,
they were so excited and started freestyling nonstop

We took a walk in the streets of the villages ka N’waxinyamani in Limpopo searching for Tsonga Rappers to ride on a Random beat.
We didn’t find any rapper who was willing to rap but one rapper from Chavani village came and represented N’waxinyamani for that day due to missing the session we had at Chavani the previous weekend.
Mfana ka Mahumani started spitting amazing bars on a random beat and we had a beautiful session
