Who or what got you into Hip Hop?
I grew up around cheesy people who liked rappers like Rick Ross; at most for his soft life and the way he delivers his verses. So whilst having to hear more about that, there were also cyphers to compete in. I started watching rappers like Dave East freestyling and that’s where I became a dope rapper around those ethics.
What is the good and the bad thing about Hip Hop around your hood?
In Mu hood it is not as it is in other parts of KZN, so it's just a variable which you'd do because you grew up exercising but a lot of it is in other places, I also perform as far as Johannesburg to establish myself at times in which made me work with the likes of Bergie Fresh
How is the response from your family and friends towards your music journey?
They believed in my music because they always bought me studio equipments to make my beats so I could avoid recording at other places. They also tell people about my music, so they support me… especially my Mother
Would you say your latest song "Red Flag" changed the way people know you as a rapper?
Red Flag from the listening session after a proper mixing and mastering, a lot already was said; positive things only and most people couldn't wait for the music video to drop, so it really did change a lot.
BoohleRomanticWithHer... what's the story behind this stage name?
I didn't want to be called a name I wouldn't be called by other people outside of music so it had to have Buhle and unlike Kwa-Zulu Natal, Gauteng is a multicultural area where some people would say it's a girls name so I had to use RomanticWithHer to keep the idea that it's a Male Rapper, as simple as it sounds BoohleRomanticWithHer
Who would you say is the Best Rapper in Kwa-Zulu Natal and Why?
Nasty C, he's been breaking boundaries from Juice Back to Leftie. also with Blxckie, he keeps being consistent with his releases and that’s what keeps us listening at times.
As a Rapper, how do you deal with negative energy from other Rappers?
Just focus on why we could be in the same place for but at times it enhances the creativity of an artist to just put it on a track as a diss or putting things where they belong with how I'd feel about the incidents we could get into.
Which One Dope Rapper would you feel like you would have had your breakthrough in the music journey if you worked together and why?
I'd say Nasty C, apart from music, he's an intelligent businessman and a record producer. He has being in the music industry for a bit longer and his fans as an elite rapper are a lot more diverse into why they'd be his fans with the diversity in music also.
Who is your Celebrity Crush and Why?
That'd be Cindi Makathini, for a lot of reasons; she's a model and is making a living for herself, how well she takes care of self and and when she's at her best looks, she thinks way smarter than other people; it's cool making a living off being beautiful and healthy, it makes one smart.

The motive behind the song “Red Flag” as an artist was to bring some of the statistics to My side, going head to head with a musician who has been in the industry and worked with the likes of Lucasraps, RobotBoii, and Emtee.
How long did it take to compile the whole song?
The song to be honest took a week. I first recorded in the Professional Recording Studio and Bergie Fresh couldn’t make it on time and ended up saying we can record in another studio he’s part of at Melville. Took around three weeks to mix and master.
How was the experience working with Bergie Fresh?
Great experience but while working on the music video, a few unforeseen occurrences made us not to be on the same page as in happy with everything, like not only being there for music but things like alcohol for fun while I had to be in another location.
Who did you work with on the Music video and how long did it take to shoot it?
Saynt who shoots for the likes of Sastii, Blaq Diamond, Bergie Fresh and DaHoodHope and whilst Music Video can take up to the 5 hours of shooting no artist wants that just an hour of prepared shoots and scenes is enough.

Didn’t plan on a remix for the song but if it happens we’ll be happy to.

The song “Perfect” It’s all about ignoring the negativity and looking at the brighter side of life then realising that life could be perfect if we only focus on positivity. AB Crazy came up with the concept and wrote the hook.
How long did it take you to create the song?
It took us two days to finish the song after receiving the beat from Sam Soko. I was the last one to record my verse.
How was the experience working with AB Crazy?
AB Crazy and I are a perfect combo, there’s no better duo than Rashid Kay and AB Crazy in SA Hip Hop. The chemistry is organic. We both know the type of beats that suit us that’s why we can complete a song in a day.
Are you planning to shoot a music video for the song or a remix?
We are definitely gonna shoot the music video. We are currently working on the concept and the storyline.
Are you thinking of dropping an album or an EP anytime soon or you will just go with singles?
Rashid Kay’s album “The Visionary” is dropping on September 11. “The Brotherhood EP” by Rashid Kay and AB Crazy is available on all digital stores. We will drop another collabo project in 2026, God willing.
Formerly known as Meta-B, Ntate Watsona has dropped a new single titled, "Tsiki Tsiki” on Monday, 04 August 2025.
The versatile hip-hop artist collaborated with his long time partner in rhyme, Leqhwa, to create this magnificent composition.
The duo previously worked together under their now defunct stable, Baseline Music Inc (BMI), before releasing projects under separate banners. But after pressing a lengthy pause on their fruitful partnership, they recently came back together to let the music play on.
Tsiki Tsiki is Ntate Watsona's first single in a handful of years after keeping the music industry at arm's length. The veteran lyricist spent the past few years dropping punchline infested freestyles on social media to solidify his penmanship, but is now ready to rewrite his story with a fresh identity.
The name change comes with a new image and sound. Tsiki Tsiki marks Ntate Watsona's transition from hardcore bars to nice time content, and from street raps to dance hits. The song was inspired by the controversial character of Tsiki Tsiki (played by Nhlanhla Kunene) - a protagonist on Showmax's hit series, Adulting.v
Intriguingly, the song doesn't only merge fiction and reality, but also constructs a new bridge between life and death. The death of Tsiki Tsiki on the drama series gave birth to Ntate Watsona’s new artistic direction. Consequently, the song is an indirect tribute that focuses on new experiences instead of old memories.
It shows that film and music are both components of art because Ntate Watsona steps into the character of Tsiki Tsiki, and takes over the script through rap. His lyrical maturity allowed him to fuse abstract portrayals with bit sized storytelling.
And while Ntate Watsona murdered the verses, Leqhwa did justice to the beat and chorus. He produced new age kwaito instrumentals that ironically sound like the future of hip-hop, whilst sparking nostalgic feelings at the same time. In addition, the chorus is also a true Leqhwa, trademark creation with a catchy rhythm that won't escape the listener's mind upon hearing the track.
This collaboration isn't just a reunion of the duo, but also an amalgamation of polished skills from two seasoned artists who display immense creative growth in all aspects. Resultantly, Ntate Watsona is releasing the single in association with Leqhwa's EasternVille Music.
Ntate Watsona is adulting through Tsiki Tsiki before embarking on his journey to release a series of projects. Although the content of the song is partly about dribbling girls, it’s easy to tell that its musical quality is bound to help him to achieve his career goals.
