I recorded the song on the same day and finished it on the same day, it probably took me 30 minutes to record the hook cause I was freestyling and the artists I worked with caught the vibe and did the same, I don't put so much thought into if I'm in the zone… I just buzz instantly after hearing the beat and then lay vocals ASAP.
Who did you work with on this Song and how was the experience working with them?
A homie named Zwa produced the beat, and I featured Kiing Core and LarsPsa, which are people I have worked with a lot on a number of songs and projects.
It's always a vibe when we lock in with the boys it's just that simple.

I’M A RAPPER! Lol, first and foremost, I wanna put that out there so there isn’t confusion cos I do a lot of other things like produce, shoot and edit, mix and master etc but it all starts from the love of rap and bars. Like you probably heard on the Tswyza jawn, I was born in P.E and raised in Joburg, those are actual facts.
I’ve been at this hip hop thing close to 11 years now in one way or another. I used to run a label called Guerilla King Music, we had some pretty dope acts like myself, ASAP Shembe, Thomas Hazey, Daev Martian, Space G, Swish 808, Deenodee, Sizi S, Oblique (RIP), IamMelloBoi/wehMelusi and a few cats around us like Dj Skinniez, Chxrlie Brown/TheFxde… You get my point tho, just a bunch of mad talented, crazy young niggas, and I was part of tryna coordinate all that and figure out how we all make it.
Later on I formed a duo with my partner Marley BloO called The Us (Welcome To The Us). We also did some cool things with that from like 2018 in terms of touring and performing, it was dope. To date The Us has 2 albums out, an EP and over 30 instrumentals released, TV appearances, countrywide shows, it really as a good time pre-COVID lol!
Who or what got you into hip hop?
Who? 50 Cent. I was in like middle of primary school when 50 really started getting TV/Radio famous. 50 was so famous my dad bought me his first couple projects. When I heard Get Rich Or Die Tryin, I wrote my first rhyme later that day. Obviously, saying a whole bunch of bullshit considering what my input was (gangsta rap) but thats really when I figured… “hey, I could probably do this”... Then obviously you dig and discover REALLY good rappers so like MF Doom is a huge inspiration, Roc Marciano, Kool G Rap, later on Tyler’s earlier stuff like Bastard and Goblin, Earl (FOR SURE), Mac Miller (my biggest benchmark since we were the same age, I always wanted to be as good/better than Mac in terms of raps at least) and currently the Griselda guys are cool too.
What is the good and the bad thing about hip hop around your hood?
I’m in the west side of the city homey, aint no rappers really popping from here to be quite honest with you. I wouldn’t even consider myself “popping” if you keeping it a buck, I reside in the underground B. So the bad thing is there’s no real light on cats from this side of the city. The good thing is the people in my city that do fuck wit me do so wholeheartedly and I’ve had the chance to forge some dope connections just by rapping.
Which song made a lot of people to know or love Ta Longz?
Damn, I wouldn’t put this down to a song bro. Ta Longz is a continuation of Daddy Longstem. Under that old alias I have tons of music out. On streaming platforms the numbers are terrible cos I put shit out and didn’t care to let people know then abruptly changed my name and handles (dont ask me why, artists are crazy) but I did that. People know me from my raps bro, both live and on radio. I did have a single called “Manje” that did kinda well (20 plus stations countrywide etc) but it wasn’t really the sound I was tryna have people know me for, if anything I was spoofing how other niggas sound and it turned into a song.
Ta Longz… what’s the story behind this stage name?
LMFAO! Ayt so I started out calling myself Daddy, I kinda felt that way with how things were at GKM, I found myself playing that role of taking care of niggas, its in my personality to care about what I do. So one day, I’m in a studio session with Youngsta CPT (before he blew up and became a mega star) and we were partaking in natural medicinal substances. If you’ve ever smoked homegrown, you’d know sometimes it leaves a long weed stem when you’re done smoking. The first person to ever call me Daddy Longstem was Youngsta on our song “Aweh” and it stuck lmfao. Years went by and I just shortened it to Longz or Ta Longz (respectfully) cos my son Sizi S would call me Longz all the time. Niggaz would could me Vader, Timer, Pa, uBaba and everything else under the sun before I was ever a father, now I am one (lol)
How was the experience being on The Tswyza Show as a Guest?
Incredible! Tswyza is that nigga for real! And I wanna shout out SPeeKA one time! Without me being on SPeeKA’s Sotra Cyphers, Tswyza woulda never found me probably lol! What challenges do you have when you are busy dropping freestyles live or in public?
Actually freestyling! That shit is crazy if you think about it, making something from nothing, and my niggaz like BlackAce and Tony Dangler do that shit every Friday at InnerCity Cyphers in Braam like its nothing bro, I once watched nigga rap for 2 hours straight. Thats the kinda shit that inspires a nigga!
Who would you say is the King of Hip hop or The Best Rapper in SA and Why?
In real terms: Me (I have to say this. You are not ACTUALLY rapping better than me, might just be doing something different, but not better. As an MC I stand by it and any nigga can come battle me for it)
In industry terms: Ginger Trill (Now take everything I said above, forget about it and realise that Ginger Trill is actually the best and most probably the most likely person we have who could save this thing of ours if he got all the right opportunities at the right time with the right people. He’s killed everyone this year)
In cypher terms: Tony Dangler (now with everything else considered, you are not getting into a freestyle cypher and rapping better than Tony Dangler. Tony really does this thing of ours and he really loves it, you can tell. He founded Inner City Cyphers just cos he likes rapping so much, its actually crazy! I dont get to pull up as much as I’d like but he is there every single Friday, rapping. How many rapers who claim they are rappers can actually say they have the discipline and passion for this thing of ours just to do that? Crazy right?)

Music, videos and probably some shows? I mean thats the formula right? I have tons of music just waiting to come out

On the 1st of November 2024 we took a tour to Braamfischer in Soweto, South Africa in search for rappers to drop bars on a random beat.
Few rappers were found but were very busy, some were not available due to work and school. We continued looking for these rappers until we found two rappers at Braamfischer phase 4 ; Vet Spura and Mijjo Steez.
We played them a Random beat and they started Rapping, when the first beat came to an end, they asked for another one and they dropped some kasi Rap bars. Shout out to all Soweto Rappers out there

Cross Rhodes is a portrayal of real life, exploring themes of ambition, faith, and the pursuit of inner peace. This EP is crafted with the hope that its message resonates with listeners, connecting them to these shared human experiences.
How long did it take for the whole EP to Be Completed?
It took around 12 months. The three tracks released now represent the beginning of a trilogy of EPs set for release over the coming months. While we've only shared three songs so far, the full EP comprises eight tracks.
Who did you work with on this EP and how was the experience working with them?
We collaborated with BLACKMYTH, a solo Hip-Hop artist from Malamulele, whose exceptional talent brought a unique dynamic to the project.
Are you planning to do any music videos on this EP? If yes, Which song would you like to Start with and Why?
Yes, we're planning a conceptual music video for the track "Cross Rhodes." This song's message has the potential to create a lasting impact visually as well.
What's your favourite song on this EP and why?
Our favourite song is Cross Rhodes. It set the tone and direction for the entire EP, and its message remains central to what this project represents.
I made the song during a period when My partner was searching for an EXIT from the relationship I invested in. At that point I was heartbroken trying to talk to her not to hurt me that way. Running out of words, not knowing what to say anymore that could make her understand the point, she then happened to cut channels of conversation, which led me to write the song hoping the message reaches her soul.
How long did it take for you to complete the whole song?
It took me around 20 minutes to write the song as I was on the way to the studio, which the recording process took less than an hour but the entire song to be completed (including mixing & mastering) it took less than a week.
Who did you work with on this song and how was the experience working with them?
I found a beat on tiktok made & posted by @TJ NOTICO from Pretoria a while before I decided to write on it. Some day I was going to record a trap song with an ENGINEER by the name of T.t Beats in NYANGA but bcoz I was going through emotional-damage, I realised that I couldn't have energy for the trap song as I was heartbroken, I then decided to write this song. I'm very glad that I worked with TJ NOTICO & T.t Beats on this record coz listening to the instrumental and Engineering behind the whole song, that all proves that they did their level best in the process.

For sure…
We'll have Visual for this record but everything will unpack as time goes

Jealousy was written after a misunderstanding with a gent from my hood that constantly competes with me, what triggered the beef was when I started vibing with the girl that he likes

I wrote the song in less than 30 minutes after hearing that the gent is saying things to this girl behind my back

The song was produced and Mastered by Andie Vision and Plughous3. Working with Andie and Plughous3 is easy since they more like my brothers, they inspire me in all angles

Love Story Ep is Basically an Ep were i was in a Space of expressing Love, Not Necessarily Relationship wise but Love in General, be it Self Love , the love i have for my family, Brother love and the love i have for music. There's more to love than just Relationships which are now proven to bê scam this days.
What’s your favourite song on this EP and Why?
My favourite Track on the Ep Has To be track Number 3 tittled "Motho Waka" and It's simply bcz i wrote it for my significant other and apart from that it features one of my favourite OGs in the 056 Game named "Fact Inspire". One of those songs that has all the creatives coming together with the mission of creating a masterpiece.

Well it took me At least 2 months to Complete the Ep, and i still believe i rushed it . I had wished to Take at least 4 months but fans couldn't wait.

Love Story Ep Features Most of the 056 Upcoming artists who are working hard in creating their names and Brands, First Song features Honesty Quan, 2nd Song features Cyrxk Sos, 3rd Song Features BlaQ-Vocalist and Fact Inspire, Track 4 Features Snanga Da Kulture and It is Produced by Canoe Deep, the Experience was amazing working with different artists with different Work ethics, i trully appreciate and Honor every other artist who's on the Ep because they all played a part and contributed Positively through out the whole precess of making this Ep

There's already A music video ready to bê realesed, Lol i think it's pretty obvious the music video is for "Motho waka " because i already said it's my favourite on the Ep , besides the story line behind it needed to bê filmed to compliment the Song

Who or what got you into hip hop?
My friends who were already artists and producers got me into music, and I realised along the way that hip-hop would be the genre I choose to introduce Myself in because that's the music I mostly listen to and influenced by.

If I wasn't a rapper I'd be doing behind the scenes of production or id be a journalist.
What is the good and the bad thing about being a female Rapper around your hood according to your experiences?
The good thing about being a female rapper around my hood is that I get love and support from alot of people cause there is barely any female representation from where I am in hip-hop.
The bad thing is the event spaces don't value females on their lineups or just the treatment at events is not the same, we have to fight to get treated fairly.
Which song made a lot of people to know or love Buzzi Lee?
I think it's Venom x Shishiliza - Sho Boy , it launched and certified me as a dope rapper in my opinion.

My second name is Busi so Buzzi kinda sounds like that but more Hip-hop lol. And Lee is for Libra cause that's My zodiac sign.
Were you part of the previous “Back to the City Festival? If yes… What were the experiences and what are your expectations on this coming one?
Yes I was a part of BTTC Festival last year 2023. The experience was very good, even though I was secretly pregnant performing on stage in the hot sun, I almost fainted but thank God I managed to keep it together. This year I expect an even better experience cause I will not be secretly pregnant this time and I'll have way more energy lol.
Who would you say is the Queen of Hip hop or The Best Female Rapper in SA and Why?
I would say Buzzi Lee is the Queen of Hip-hop because I am versatile and have made a big impact in the game in a short space of time with no tape out but my verses are impactful , classic and fun and represent SA.

What’s this One Funny Childhood moment do you remember?
I remember standing at a queue in some shop , and a lady told me I'm beautiful and I should model, but I was such a tom boy I told her no I want to be a mechanic and she was flabbergasted.
