Sbusiso Mahlangu, Well known As Epic sbu, Born and raised in lydenburg. "To Do music I was inspired by Aubrey Drake Graham back in 2008, but then I started Recording my music in 2015 when I was in Grade 8, I was introduced to a Producer known as Mpc,that's where I started recording my first song titled "I am Real" , people were impressed with my work. I went on to work with the likes of Jay Lez and Carolex as they produced my other sings, in 2016 I dropped my first Debut trapsoul single "Broken heart" which features Jay lez, it was a huge experience for me because it was trending in the hood with approximately 2K downloads now the internet. In 2017 I dropped my single Rolling Stone Again, it touched a lot of hearts Which opened a lot of doors for me in the industry locally.
2018 was a heartbreaking year for me, I've lost my loved ones, experienced betrayal which led me to write a Single "Depression" it was released 5 October 2018 and it went viral, people related to the song as it remains trending even now with so many downloads...
2019 was a life changing for me as An Artist, I was exposed to a lot of opportunities, Dropped NY debut single From the ghetto, performed it for the first time at the First Mash Talent show... Later on it was playlisted in the heartbeat top5 2 weeks in a row. In August I was invited to perform for the Mashishing Sports promotional awards with over 200 people... September I got nominated for being the best male artist of the year at the TCLMAS awards , Then I was invited for a Radio interview at Mash Fm.
Craig, also known as Dr. Nsuku Craig Masonto, is a South African musician who also happens to be a successful dentist. Having always had a keen interest in musical composition, Craig gradually honed his songwriting skills whilst studying in Dental School. Having dealt with mental health issues such as depression, Craig made the decision to channel his emotion through the medium of music; adding an authenticity to his sound that comes from his honest creative channeling. Inspired by the likes of Frank Ocean, James Blake, Matthew And The Atlas, James Vincent McMorrow, Travis Scott and Pusha T, Craig has formed his own unique sound that is a true reflection of his compositional talent.
When did You start singing and what grabbed your attention that you started writing your own music?
I started singing at church... lol, I think it was 2010, trying to get a girl's attention, didn't work anyway...
Music... man, I don't know, we've been rapping for so long, I started singing in 2010 but making my own music... I've been rapping from the time 50 Cent dropped "Get Rich or Die trying", trying to be a famous rapper but you know... I was just 13 by the time
What is the good and the bad thing about the music industry in South Africa according to your experiences?
The Good: A lot of people are open to listening to local musicians, there was a time where if a song was not from the states, they wouldn't listen to it, especially if it is not like house or kwaito, and the other genres... but south Africa is just really welcoming... almost to anything they like, they are not putting any boundaries around their artists, so that's great.
The Bad:
I don't know, just feels like it's difficult to break through a certain ceiling but I think once you get over that, the sky is the limit... but that's probably how it is throughout the world as well
If there was one thing that you would wish to change in the music industry, what would it be and why?
Umm... It's almost like, if you have no connections, nobody will really listen to you, or if you don't have followers, it's almost like, people have to love you first for you to get other fans, but that's just probably how the world works, it's like when you see a hot hun on Instagram and she just has like 20 followers, you like huh... suspicions, then you see a lot of followers, then you like huh, you must be a big deal... I don't know, but people just follow what others are already following, it's hard for people to follow you from scratch even if they vibe with your shit
You dropped your EP "Craig" during Lockdown, what challenges have you experienced on that period?
None at all, I was recording in my room, I had a lot of time because I was off work, almost no challenges, it was a smooth breeze.. aah but there was no alcohol... so it was hard sometimes lol... writing sober, but we did it
How is the response from family and friends towards your music Journey?
Man everyone has been really supportive, like every other day, even when I'm not marketing anymore, there's just someone Sharing, someone be like "hey bra I'm listening to your shit", or "hey I'm at a party and I just decided to play this music"..
they comment, they share and keep streaming, I mean.. there's a lot of support there
You used your government name *Craig* as your stage name... what inspired you not to come up with a nick name like other artists do?
I don't know, I always felt like it's weird to give yourself your own nickname. If someone gave me a nickname while growing up, I would probably have went with that but nobody ever did, it was only just Nsuku or Craig... I've never had a nickname, and what would I have called myself? "Big bad wolf"? Lol... I don't know, I just always felt weird about naming myself. I did try that but I never actually liked the idea of giving myself a name, just always felt so tacky, so I just went on with it
Most of your songs are about the experiences that you went through, if it was not that, would there be Craig the artist?
Huh... ? Naaah man... lol, well maybe... cos I love music but it wouldn't be the same, cos all my experiences have led to this exact moment, you know... it might not be a life I love or enjoy, but it's honest... so everything, good and bad, mostly bad.. but everything has led to this and I can't do nothing else but to appreciate it
How do you balance your profession as a dentist and your music craft?
Ah... there's almost no balance.. lol. I'm both, when I'm work I'm singing, when I'm singing I think about work and when I'm singing I still think about work (dentistry) it's like...
I didn't need to come with a balance, I just all merged it to one big mess called Craig, like whatever else I have an interest in, I don't know how to put my life into different segments, I just shuffle it, roll with it and have fun
Few years to come, where will Craig be?
Hopefully not dead?! lol...
But let me try and prophesy, three years to come, would have established my own dental practice, mainly Aesthetics cos I love art, i feel like I wanna improve in the art of dentistry of all kinds but mostly just Aesthetics and cosmetics, just making things beautiful and my music as well, I don't know how big I will be in the music industry or how influential I will be but I know that I will remain honest to my craft and try to just keep making beautiful work, eventually growing more and more honest through it until it is just natural, I just want to be naturally brilliant in whatever I will be doing in a few years in content with a continuous goals
During your childhood, what funny character were you known for? ?
Ha ha ha... Superman... I had a superman costume, I cried for it at Edgar's (polokwane) I remember, I think I even got lost there, I forced my parents to get me a superman costume and I would rock that bitch everyday after school until it was worn out, it was funny, I was a chubby baby, I'm still a chubby man, and I was just like a big belly, big booty superman

Tito Khoza, professionally known as Tito Khoza Jackson or Tito K Jackson.
I’m known as Michael Jackson Impersonator or Tribute Artist. I was born in NAAS Township of Mpumalanga Province South Africa.
I started to like Michael Jackson since I was young. The things that made me to like Michael Jackson is his music, dance moves, love, passion and respect. Growing up, my mother was also a number 1 fan of Michael Jackson. I remember there was a time when she woulf tell me stories about Michael Jackson and the conversation would go on and on, it was becoming more interesting to listening to Michael Jacksons’ stories not knowing that there is a connection between me and him.
Growing up, we used to form a circle and start to dance, each person would enter into a circle and do his/ her own dance move, and my dance moves were different because I used to do a robot dance, side walk and moonwalk.
To me being Michael Jackson impersonator is like a calling, because I’m doing it with love and passion.
I started to notice my talent the time I was at high school. I’ve joined Latin dance and ended up over doing it, up until one of the fans noticed me, he came and told me that now my moves were going out of line, so he suggested that I must find my calling, he told me I was more than a Latin dancer, and I remember me and my friend before we will start Latin dance rehearsal, we would firstly do a Michael Jackson routine, that’s where everything started.
How would you feel if you met Michael Jackson in person?
I was going feel Blessed because since I was young, My wish was to meet Him
Have you had any recognition from the Jackson's family yet? If not yet, how would you feel?
Not yet but if they can recognise me, it will mean a lot, it will close the gab that I didn't meet Michael Jackson in person and if I can meet the them, I know that I will be able to see his grave and that will mean the world to me and it will be a dream come true
What makes a Great Dancer in your Opinion?
A Great Dancer is someone who go with the rhythm, in order to be a Great Dancer You have to be connected with the music, just like me when I'm on stage, music controls Me
How is the response from Family and Friends towards your Michael Jackson impersonating journey?
I always receive a positive response, that's why I keep on working harder because of the support I get from my Family and Friends and all Michael Jackson fans across the World

That's a good question! Few years from now; I will be a well known Michael Jackson impersonator/ tribute artist because my craft grows each and every time
How is the Covid-19 Lockdown SA affecting your Journey?
Eish covid -19 lockdown SA affected me big time and it continues, because last year I started a one night tour with the King of Pop at Alberton and I wanted to do more different tours this year, on January this year I did lots of preparations and I was suppose to start from the first week of April and other bookings/ gigs were cancelled. I was stressed when they announced the first covid-19 SA, Casemagazine clients were cancelling their bookings each and every day and I saw that the covid-19 is here to destroy every dreams I have for this year, but thank God because I've manage to open my own business
Have you thought of releasing your own music or dance moves to leave your own legacy yet?
Yes releasing my own music is on the line but that doesn't mean I will quit being Michael Jackson impersonator/ tribute artist because I really love and enjoy what I'm doing, My love for Michael Jackson won't die, he will always live in my heart
Surely there's someone out there who wishes to be like Tito K Jackson, what would you encourage them to do?
Yes they are many and what makes me happy is that they DM me and I always reply to them,
What I can tell them is that they have to believe to themselves, they must have self confidence, and for those who are still at school; education is the key to success because this journey is not as easy you see, I've faced lots of challenges and I'm still facing lots of challenges but those challenges makes me strong because without them I wasn't going to be where I am today

The Origin of the gang started like any other cliché typical township story of boys from the hood, also from the same block being childhood friends who were exposed to a rare environment, similar struggles, love and passion for art as a whole; be it dancing, singing, producing music, drawing, rapping or any sort of aspect that represented art.
Seeing that majority of the crew members required skills and talents, same values and relative long-term goals sparked a thought to one of the co-founders (Lex Lega) of why not use the little buzz and small popularity we were receiving from our peers at that time and initiate something legit for our image?! sort of like brand ourselves and our expertise, and create an official household name. That’s when the term “Young Guns” which simply means People (especially young men), who have lots of energy and talent, and are becoming very successful. That caught our attention and gave the exact description of what we were and what we are striving for, that’s when also Tshepang “TP” Modibedi and Amogelang “Amo-Gee” Molotsane (co-founders) added with the words “By Soul”, concluding the oath we’ve set for ourselves.

From the day YGBS Gang was created to today, How has the Music journey been?
Honestly speaking, we feel like we’re still on the journey and that we haven’t yet reached the point whereby a question like this would be raised, we can confidently respond you with a well-deserved answer but judging from where it all began, it has been a very rough road, obviously filled with memorable events and lessons, we can safely say a lot of growth has shown in our music and also the knowledge and experiences we get to share with our fans has incredibly changed in terms of what’s happening in the modern world currently, also to add, we would proudly agree that we have established a name for our sound and instead of following clout, we maintained to innovate our authentic style within our music.
What are the few things that Make a Crew / Team Strong?
Well according to us; loyalty covers overall of parts that makes a crew to be strong, us being loyal to one another has proven us that it’s okay to express your feelings and emotions to an individuals whom you might feel or think are putting you out of your senses, being transparent and sustaining happiness amongst one another are factors that contributes to making a crew strong, but one thing we would mention that has kept the crew solid for these years is the fact that each one of us knows each individuals weaknesses and we take means to assist one another with them.
What is One Mistake that other Crews do that makes them to Collapse or Fall apart?
Getting lost in their sauce and completely forgetting the main purpose why they started doing what they’re doing in the first place. But logically, money is always the problem.
What is the good and the bad thing about Hip hop in Your Hood according to your experiences?
Good thing about hip hop in our hood is that it teaches life lessons better than the school system, the culture itself saves most lives of youth and gives them an opportunity to express themselves creatively and get to raise their voices so they be heard.
Bad thing about hip hop in our hood is that some lyrical contents can persuade one innocent boy to start living a life he won’t maintain or sustain, it can lead you into a life of criminals which both you and I know the only way to exist such life is two ways.
What is the Motive behind most of tracks?
The drive and passion we have for our craft, also the hunger for success we owe to ourselves.
Who is the Funniest and the "Mr Serious" in the crew?
B-man certainly he is the funniest, he's one of those people who want to see the whole gang happy. Lyzer is the Mr Serious of the gang.
Few Years to come, where will YGBS Gang be?
In a few years to come we strongly believe YGBS GANG would have set a change in the South African hip hop community and also be recognized globally, better yet each member with a successful run in his career. Currently we invest in each artist of the NPEMG records, marketing them solely and individually so each has their own specific market and fan base.
How is the Covid-19 Lockdown-SA affecting your music as YGBS Gang?
2020 has been a complex and unusual year, to think that a lot was due from us this year, this pandemic really affected us terribly because we had to rearrange our yearly schedule and plans, not to mention cancel our annual concert (NTK 3rd Wave), and we had to go back to the drawing board and come up with an alternative strategy to attain some potential objectives we’ve set for this year. Khino was supposed to release a project but unfortunately the procedure got postponed due to the lockdown.

I’d probably be a Doctor, doing plastic surgery was my dream growing up. Hip hop messed all of that up lol
What is the good and the bad thing about hip hop music in your hood according to your experiences?
The good and bad thing about hip hop music is that we can tune into it in many different forms, like when we turning up in the hood we know which playlist to go for, when we feeling down and when young kids want to do bad things they get motivated by some of these songs too.
You've done quite a lot of activities in your musical journey, which one would you say gave you the big break?
2016 when I was in a competition “My Connect”, being part of that competition taught me more than just being competitive but how to engage with people.
I learnt what people really want to hear on a song. During the competition I performed at the Hip Hop Festival hosted at Mabida Fan Park, That brought a lot of supporters.
What makes a Good Rapper in your opinion?
If there’s Rhythm And Poetry in it I am sold. We can write songs about a lot of things but it comes a time where you have to tell your story, it matters how you tell it.
Your Upcoming EP "The Blue Pill"... what are your expectations from it compared to your previous projects?
I’m expecting this EP to shoot me sky high hahah, just so if I fall I land on the highest mountain lol. With the team I have behind me I am certain that this EP will put OB Magik on the map
How is the response from the family and friends towards your music journey?
At the beginning at home it wasn’t easy hey, I guess in most of our parents it is still hard for them to believe that your can make it in music. But it’s different now, they down for me for days. My friends been feeling the kid, since high school lol
What is one mistake would you say Upcoming Rappers do that delays their Breakthrough?
Sleeping on themselves, paper work, song registrations, paying for a good mix, all of those things are easy but very hard for us to do specially the music registration. I believe once I know my song is properly registered and I’m a full member at SAMRO, RISA, CAPASSO etc, I’d even cross night at radio station for my song to be played lol just kidding but I think they get my point
How is the Covid-19 Lockdown affecting your Music Career?
Having us Locked down like this kind of opened doors for me in a way because everyone is on their phones, there’s online cyphers like the KZN Lockdown Cypher hosted by Zakwe, I got an opportunity to be part of that. I just sat down with Thendric Entertainment to help with my career, B.H.A called me up and said here’s Phalameezy studios let’s put in work. Things came out positive for my career during this Lockdown.
A lot of Musicians suffers from "Being robbed/used by Record Labels" would you say this is true or Artists just don't read contracts well?
I feel like it’s the contracts, I don’t know if they don’t read them proper or the contracts as well are difficult to read, maybe getting a lawyer is hard too I just don’t know hey, but I know if we’ve agreed 50/50% then it should stick to that, it would be a bad thing if the label gives me 30% on the low lol
OB Magik... What's the Story behind this Stage Name?
OB came from my name and surname (mnq’OB’i ngc’OB’o) it’s crazy I know lol, I don’t know which planet I was on coming up with all of that. Magik came from magic so basically what I do is so clean it’s like magic, unbelievable hahaha.

Mbuso Mthandeni Mngomezulu Also Known As "Anty Dowt", is a South African Rapper, Songwriter and Recording Artist. Regarded as one of the best under 16 Rappers in Phalaborwa.
Born 2004-01-23 in Mpumalanga Embalenhle but is currently based in Gauteng,Springs
Aunty Dowt started Rapping in 2017 and was once Nominated at the Phalaborwa Music Awards
Anty Dowt was the youngest rapper in Phalaborwa to do it the most in 2019, he released four Bangers that were positively received and he is doing quite well on SoundCloud, he is almost on 4000 overall streams with just three songs uploaded there. In December 2019 an online blogger based in Uganda wrote an article about him, promoting his upcoming Mixtape, he was the first artist to do such without a Manager.
What got you into hip hop?
It's the culture in General, Hip hop raised me, I grew up around people who listened to Hip hop alot and I liked the way they dressed, so yeah I fell in love with the culture in General.
What makes a great Rapper in your Opinion?
Somebody who's able to touch somebody's heart through words, Somebody with great message in a song & how the person delivers their bars in the song... Somebody who's able to nail any type of hip hop beat or somebody who's able to jump on any sub-genre of hip hop.
What makes Anty Dowt different from other Rappers?
The thing that makes Anty Dowt different from other Rappers is his deliverance in a song, and the fact that he's able to hop on any type of beat. Anty Dowt is just different from other Rappers because of his uniqueness.
If you are not busy with music, what else keeps you busy?
Watching Alot of Series on Netflix, Watching "Naruto", I sometimes read books about "African Spirituality", but I'm always on music, I do alot of research about music, music is just in me.
What is the good and the bad thing about Hip hop in your hood according to your experiences?
Let's start with the bad thing, the bad thing about hip hop in my hood is that the people lack support, they don't support while you're down, I think maybe they undermine you because you haven't made it, and the good thing is the producers that are very humble, and our hip hop is one of the best in the country..
What do you mostly write about in your music?
I write about Struggle, Heartbreaks, Love, African empowerment... Also about Neighborhood jealousy and about my personal life.
Anty Dowt... what is the story behind this stage name?
The name comes from the word "Antidote" I just decided to change the spelling, it means that my music is a cure for whatever you're going through and it can heal you if you find my music relatable to your story..
How is the Covid-19 Lockdown SA affecting your music journey?
Few years to come, where will Anty Dowt be?
The Covid 19 isn't really affecting my music journey because we're now in the Internet Era, everything is done on the internet, but at the same time it's affecting my music because I can't go to studio anymore, it's very hectic because I even have an ep scheduled to be released.
In few years to come, I see myself independently at the top, winning without labels ripping me off.
How is the response from your family and friends?
SOME OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS ARE SUPPORTING AND OTHERS DON'T SUPPORT ME BECAUSE THEY THINK MUSIC IS A HARD JOB TO MAKE IT. SOME OF MY FRIENDS ARE REALLY SUPPORTIVE.
What does it mean to you being one of the youngest rappers in your hood
I just hope other younger kids than me are inspired to chase their dream no matter how young they are.
