Tsonga Rapper Flash Cortez explains why “Xilondza xa Rifu” had to be the Hardest Song he ever Made | The Song is Available on All Platforms

A real story about what happens after we lose the ones we love 🕊️… How families change, how the ones left behind get treated, and the pain that’s often ignored. ❤️‍🩹

This one is deep. This one is truth!!

How long did it take you to compile this song from Start to End?

Honestly, Xilondza Xa Rifu has to be the hardest song I’ve ever made. While I was working on the beat, the sound went completely mute for hours until I finally fixed it. Then, when I started recording, people kept calling and distracting me, which made the process take longer than usual.

After recording, I mixed and mastered the song, but I wasn’t satisfied with the results. For about a week, I kept going back and changing the mix until it eventually started to distort. I then took a break from listening to it for another week.

With only five days left before the release, I returned to it with fresh ears and that’s when I was finally able to mix and master it properly. I could hear the difference compared to before. I think I had listened to it too many times earlier, which is why it was so difficult.

That’s why I say this is the hardest song I’ve ever made.

Who did you work with and how was the experience working with them?

From the beat to the final product, I was with my DJ, Theo M. He was there with me throughout the entire process, and he was also the one shooting the visuals. We were really in sync, just like we usually are on other songs, so the energy was always right around him.

What I like most about working with him is that he’s honest and always willing to contribute ideas to the songs I make, which is something I truly appreciate.

Are you planning on shooting a music video for this single?

Since I’m now working with a new team, I’m planning to shoot a music video. I also plan to shoot a video for almost every song I’ll be releasing.

Who is the target audience for this song?

This song talks about how families treat those who are left behind after their loved ones pass away. It connects deeply with people who experience empty promises made during funerals, only to face different treatment afterwards.

It also speaks to children and individuals who go through abuse within their families, as well as those without parents who struggle in life because of pressure, neglect, and the way they are treated.

This song is for everyone who has lost someone and is still going through the pain, the ones who feel it the most.
