What inspired you to find yourself painting the late AKA on your body?
His passing has been such a tragedy that as a fellow artist a and fan of his craft, I felt the need to honour the time he had with us here on earth.
How long did it take you to complete the whole makeup / painting?
It took me a good 6hours / plus. Literally sitting and taking only necessary breaks like a snack nibble, sip of water or bathroom break
How is the response from the fans and social media towards this artwork?
Literally the Third most viral post on social media, which I wasn’t prepared for! The love has been immense, so grateful.
How is this artwork’s response different from Riky Rick’s that you did by the time he passed away?
Ricky Rick’s death was more personal to me and since it was my first tribute, I can say it really blew everyone’s minds.
What message would you wish to have sent to AKA or his Family as we pay tribute?
I want them to see that he has really accomplished so much, even though he might have had more plans but his mark has been made. The Megacy will remain even after his passing.
How has the journey been from when we had our first article with you till now?
It has been amazing from working closely with celebrities in their respective fields and receiving an award nominations for most creative and best makeup artist which I was against the likes of Nomfundo Moh and Lady Amar to name a few, was such an honour.

Who is your main inspiration in the hip hop game?
-Woow, Where' would I even begin? I get inspired by alot of artists. growing up, I've listened to Hip Hop music involved as genre, from old school to new school but the 1st time I was introduced to Hip Hop it was Spaza music, then out of that I was introduced to the likes of Tupac, Biggie, Lil Kim, Queen Latifah and so forth.
What is the good and the bad thing about being a female rapper in your hood according to your experiences?
- Well I grew up from one City to Another, i don't really have a hood or City that I'd say I'm from or are holding me down and I really don't mind cause sometimes where you from can restrict you from being a better version of yourself. Sometimes that comes with a lotta expectation on how your sound should be, so I'd say being a female rapper comes with alot of males thinking they can have an easy pass on you cause you're a female and sometimes not taken seriously cause you don't fit a certain stereo personality they want you to.
• Music, Acting and Radio Presenting… if you were to choose one, what would it be and why?
-Hahaha Woow, didn't see this one coming, I'd still chose music mainly because it was embedded into me since I was baby and coming from a musical background. But I love all three. Acting has made me a better performer cause I always have to be in character cause I'm naturally an Introvert.
• What makes a good Rapper in your opinion?
-Good Flow - You need to need a great sense of rhythm and vocal agility. It's not necessarily how fast you can rap, but how accurately your words land on every beat. Also, it's important switch it up to keep it interesting.
Emotion - What I mean by this is that you don't necessarily have to be edgy, cool, or exciting, but just captivate your listener through conveying whatever emotions you're expressing. For example, if it's a sad, heartwrenching song, play into it. Rap is very a theatrical genre of music. Of course it doesn't have to borderline campy, but have some emotion. Make your listeners feel your happiness, sadness, joy, excitement, or whatever!
Enunciation - It really depends, but for the most part, the listener needs to understand your words to a certain degree unless it's a stylistic choice. Mumble rappers aren't that bad. It just depends on the context.
Vocal Presence - A good rapper has a round voice that can command the listener. Obviously, this is very subjective, but they need a voice that is not only heard, but captivating.
Personality - Being a rapper is like a brand. You need to craft your own persona to really connect with your listeners. However, that doesn't mean you should be one-dimensional. Your personality should be dynamic enough to at least cover different moods, styles, and sometimes even genres.
Lyricism - This is extremely important. Your lyrics, if well-written, should read like a great book of poetry.
What is one thing that you love when you are on stage performing?
-When people sing along to your songs and just being in the moment. For me being on the stage is when I am most alive and I can be whomever I want to be. You know that nervousness you get and those sweaty palms that can you having the best nights/moments of your life.
How is the response from your family and friends towards your music journey?
-Only one or 2 of my friends has seen me perfom lol. Not even one of my family members has seen me perfom unless on Tv but never in real life. It's always people that you don't know that will always give you the most support. If you have people in your cycle that support your hustle, you are the luckiest human being on the planet and don't take it for granted.
What do you Write about on most of the songs that you write?
-Recently I've written songs mostly about Love, betrayal, grief and more love lol..
I have an Ep coming as Enigma BoomtrapQueen and another Joint Ep as S. A. M ( Simply. About. Music) with RxchUnknown who has been pushing me outside of a battle Enigma and for me to embrace my vocals and femininity. What is this One Song that made a lot of people love you or one that made people know about Enigma?
-It's Definitely No Validation and Haibo but I can't choose from both.
Enigma… what is the story behind this stage name?
-Enigma BoomTrapQueen soon to be Nigma was given to me by an old friend of mine who said my personality and music capabilities were total opposites and couldn't phantom how could I be one person when I make music and how raw and beastly I sounded and how my natural personality contradict that. Lol An enigmatic person is someone who is a bit mysterious to others. Behind an enigmatic smile are thoughts impossible to guess.Enigmatic people can control their emotions and passions so that the front they present to the world appears composed, calm and unruffled.
Few years to come, where will Enigma?
-Expanding in the Industry not just as a musician but an Artist at large. Hopefully I can one day start my own scouting agency, mentor young women and change lives.
What are the wise words can you tell to a person who wishes to be where you are?
-It gets tough, it get scary, it's never easy, Lotta people will doubt your capabilities but whatever happens never lose faith in yourself and understand you're are here for a reason. You got that gift for a reason. So use it and break barriers.

What is the good and the Bad thing about Hip hop around your hood?
The good thing about Hip Hop in my hood is that it is violence free from gangster lifestyles and drive by’s. Unlike in the United States. Basically doing Hip Hop music is a peaceful way for me to share my experiences throughout the hood lyrically to those willing to listen.
The bad thing about Hip Hop in the hood is that, I make my music using English. This becomes a challenge because not all folks in the hood are willing to listen to a Tsonga boy rap in English. As such, this doesn't give me the recognition that I need to upgrade my numbering status, which means that I am left at disadvantage not to be heard both out here and out there.
What achievements have you had so far through Hip hop?
My achievements so far would be the fact that I've met a lot of passionate people who are very found in the Hip Hop music or music in general who have thought me a lot of ways to keep my talent above the water and breathing. So that was the only achievement I had, I'd say I am fortunate to have met Rap Type Mag to give me this opportunity to put my identity out there. I believe through such, I can finally put my music out there and for that I am grateful to Jay.
What makes a good Rapper according to your opinion and experiences?
A good rapper must be influential. I believe that music in general has a great impact on the environment in ears of all who listen to it. So I believe that a rapper who makes music which is motivational and not deceiving to the ears of listeners does belong in the category of a good rapper. Because out here you hear a lot of rappers rap about money, fame, power, girls & all that life. That life is just for the media, it is never a solution to a depressed person out there. Instead such talk is discouraging to people who been working hard all their lives only to hear you talk about how you make a R100k and blow it on chains and drugs. Instead I believe a good rapper has to be a great role model to his/her friends.
What is the Motive behind most of your writing?(especially your latest EP "Hi"
Most of my writings are motivated by situations I find myself in. That's the only way I know how to express my feelings, I write. And I possibly write lyrics everyday, three or more lyrics a day. And I do that without a beat.
About my last "Hi” EP project, I only had handouts beats which I had to write upon. Most of the beats were Trap, I myself am a rapper, not a trapper. I found this really challenging, but I tried to keep out writing a few inspirational songs in there. And I wrote them looking at the behaviour of mankind in these times.
Smaddy Wend... what is the story behind this stage name?
Oh? Damn! That's crazy! I never hoped to get to this. Basically Smaddy Wend came from my nickname "Smattie" so I had this nickname cause of my brains at the young age and my love of cartoons. When I got old and started playing basketball in Makhado, I had fellas change that name from "Smattie" into "Smaddy" because they believed that was more manly. At that time I had this other girl I was dating, her name is Wendy, so we were madly in love back then and she suggested the name "Smaddy Wend" as a combination of Smaddy & Wendy, but she didn't use Wendy cause it is a girls name. I liked the name, so I pushed it. And even though the girl and I went our separate ways, I decided not to change it. That was just a sign of peace between us.
How is the response from your family and friends towards your music craft?
Well, everybody has no reason to contradict my passion for music. Both my parents are okay with it, they supportive. And as far as the rest of the family is concerned, I am not quite sure where they stand. They never been against me making music. I believe I have all the freedom I have to making music. And that is great because this the only way how I know how to express my emotions.
Who do you wish to work with around your hood that you've never worked with before and why?
Around my hood I already have worked with Manotry, Lester Mathews, JuicyKiller and Young OG Xvi. As far as working with people in my hood is concerned I have achieved that and I'm very proud that I worked that hard for people to actually be open to work with me.
What mistakes would you say most upcoming artists do that makes them not to have breakthrough in the music world?
I think making irrelevant music. This comes as making music that is popping at a certain time. That makes people question if you really know yourself. You'll find upcoming artists making music faking their lyrics and this is bad because once people see you they take you for a faker. Thus this messes up your dignity. I'd advise that if you're a musician, focus on your side of passion of the music you make. Do not get under pressure because of the wave of music people are making. Never change your passion to impress.

LE2 is a Rapper, Songwriter and Record producer from Kanana, One of the townships in Klerksdorp also known as Maglera.
LE2's Love for Hip hop Music started from a young age in his primary school days when he joined a local Rap crew named Hustle Top Niggas(HTN). The crew later decomposed after two of it's members were wrongfully accused and charged. Due to the high level of gangsterism, drug abuse & lack of supporting facilities in the township, the rest of the HTN group fell off.
LE2 kept making music to stay off the streets. "As young as i was i've always wanted to make a difference and considering that i was an introvert kid.. music became my voice and kept me off the notorious streets of Kanana, growing up in the township taught me so much about surviving, remaining persistent & inspiring the people around Me, this is where My lyricism comes from", He said.
LE2 speaks for the streets & most people who have being introduced to his sound have labelled him an activist and a great inspiration.
LE2 recently dropped his smash hit titled Umsebenzi which features 012's @life_as_kaygreat and @thee_anoun_g1jero_7. Being from a hood where there's too much gangsterism, drug abuse and more; How did Hip hop save You from the streets?
I have always listened to conscious Hip hop artists because of my uncle being a die hard hip hop fan, so i knew what was happening in my hood is not only happening in my space but also artists like 2pac and Biggie have experienced and witnessed it. I studied what they were all about and what really made them authentic and respected pioneers of the hip hop culture and i figured out that they were not just people from the hood but they were extra ordinary,they've always wanted to facilitate growth and change the world, they have somehow managed to do that through Hip hop so their stories kept me going with hope that one day i'll also do the same. The only thing we need to survive is hope and that is what hip hop gave me and that way i'd say hip hop saved me.
What is the Good and the Bad thing about Hip hop around Your Hood?
The hip hop culture is very influencial and can be very dangerous if missunderstood sometimes. The bad thing about Hip hop in my hood is the concepts being missunderstood most of the times, i have seen youngstars abusing substance because they see their favourite hip hop stars showing it on music videos,lack of understanding got em hooked on the lifestyle. The good thing about Hip hop in my hood is it gets the youth to learn about things happening around to world, it keeps some kids on the streets but for a good purpose, many have discovered their unique talents through the Hip hop culture.
LE2... what is the story behind this stage name?
Before i went by the stage name LE2, i had a couple of other cool rap names like LEXTRY,C.ROLL and Coax fanta, this was the time when i didn't really find my archetype. The name LE2 came after i realized that most people were having difficulties with pronouncing my birth name(Lethukuthula) especially at school, it made me feel uncool so i shortened my name by using the first part of it which is Lethu but used thu as number 2.
Who is that One Rapper that You look up to that You wish you could hook up with one day and why?
I am mostly inspired by Cassper Nyovest and i hope one day i get to meet him. I think he's a great example of staying true to self and still succeed and whatever style he tries out he never feels like a different artist, he perfectly blends in without loosing his form
Would You say that the Song "Umsebenzi" is the one that gave you a huge breakthrough or there's another hit? How?
Umsebenzi is a really big song. I think it's going to be the song that gives me my huge breakthrough. I am saying this because i haven't worked so much on pushing it but already it's bringing me some good reception and this shows that it has the right potential to put me on top if i go all out interms of pushing it.
How is the response from Family and Friends towards your Music Journey?
I have been getting a great amount of love from my family and friends, the more i grow the more everybody believes in me. The was a time where i felt underpressure thinking about my peers who are earning great salaries and i on the other hand still hustling for recognition in the music industry but the everyday motivation i get from my people keeps the going.
What is one thing that Many of the Upcoming Rappers do that delays their breakthrough in the Rap game?
There's a point where we get chances & opportunities as upcoming rappers, this is the part where a rapper needs to work harder than they have ever worked but what delays us as rappers is we turn to relax and loose the work mode when we get to this stage and this is a very big mistake
Few years to come, where will LE2 be?
I have always been dedicated and willing to learn everything i should know as an artist, i am trying to get out as far i can from my comfort zone so that in the next few years i become an established independent artists.

Thamsanqa “Stax Masiza” is a Rapper and Songwriter from Dobsonville, Soweto. He was born in Florida just outside Roodepoort in Johannesburg. As a teen Stax Masiza used to have Big Dreams to make it as a house music DJ one day, until He met one of his best Friends Mbali “M6Beats” Sixishe, back in 2010. The good thing is that My Hip hop inspires the people around Me (in My Hood) to do better in their Lives and go for their Dreams. The not so Good thing is that it’s hard to fill up some Hip hop events since we can’t gather crowds as big as other genres would.
Stax Masiza... What is the Story behind this Stage Name?
The name started off as a high school joke by My producer M6Beats. He used to call me “Stax on Stax on Stax” because I told Him I wanted to Rap and he assumed I’d be Rapping like those gents that made that song “Racks on Racks on Racks”. Eventually I became more lyrical with My Raps and they started calling me just “Stax”. When I become more serious about My Music, I had problems uploading it on mainstream streaming services because there were a lot of Stax’s out there. So, I just decided to add my real Surname next to it and that’s how “Stax Masiza” was born.
How did You meet Overdose and how is the experience working with Him?
Overdose is a super talented dude. I met him in 2017 through one of my friends C-Dawg while I was still staying in CPT. They invited C-Dawg to the studio session and He decided to go with Me since I was a musician too.
Working with Overdose is cool. He’s such a dope emcee that he pushes everyone to be at their best when it comes to writing, recording or producing etc. I’d definitely like to work with him more often in the future.

My friends do Support Me big time. They Share My Content and Rock up to ama gigs awami, even if they are ekasi. My Family wasn’t always down for the music, especially My Parents. But I think they’ll loosen up a bit once they see me going places with it. But My Siblings and Cousins do show Me a lot of Love when it comes to the Music & I appreciate that a lot.

Man, I’d be a hypocrite to answer that question because nami I haven’t figured out the formula yet to breakthrough. I’m still trying to get in the game too. Hlamy C, aka "Ntombi ya Mhlengwe", is a South African R&B/Soul Musician, Songwriter and
Guitarist Born on the 15th of September 1999 who is living with albinism. She was born in Matsakali village near Malamulele in the Limpopo Province but grew up in Johannesburg, Gauteng Province. Hlamy C, real name Hlamarisa Mercy Chauke, matriculated from Shingwedzi High School in 2018 and studied BA Communications at the University of Limpopo.
Hlamy C began her musical journey in 2016 as a lead singer for her high school and church
choirs respectively. She was first introduced to the recording side of music by a rapper friend,
where she impressed the producers at a local studio with her versatile, sweet, and melodic voice.
She was later featured on a song by McCain titled “Mihlolo ya Boti” which was never officially
released.
In 2018, she was introduced to another local studio where things started to look promising for
her. She recorded and released her first official solo single titled “Mali Madlayisani”, which got
playlisted at a local community radio station Mala FM and scored her an interview with the
station. She further recorded 6 more tracks which were to form part of her debut album but due
to disagreements with the producers, the songs were never released.
In 2019, Hlamy C was approached by another producer, Moose, and she immediately featured
in his song titled “Mabadi”. In 2020, she recorded and released her debut 6-track EP titled “The
Opportunity” under Moose’s Hotwave Productions label. On the EP, Hlamy C displayed her
versatility and multilingualism by infusing seven (7) languages into soulful sounds of R&B and
soul with a touch of African flavour. As a young artist, the EP gained her significant recognition
amongst her peers, and it remains her best musical expression to-date.
In 2021, Hlamy C released a pulsating and soulful single track titled “Norho” which is currently
doing extremely well in the market. The single is a follow up on her self-discovered Afro soul
melodic sounds. The single is part of her up coming EP due to be released later this year.
Having met DJ, producer, record label owner and artist manager, Sumthyn Black in 2021, Hlamy
C has renewed her hopes of taking her music both nationally and internationally. She believes
that now is the right time for her to spread her wings and take the South African music industry
by storm. Hlamy C is inspired by musicians such as Adele, Beyonce, Sia, Shane World and Nox Guni but appreciates and is further inspired by Salif Keita who made it as musician while living with albinism

Being different is the one special thing one should be proud of. Living with albinism doesn't limit you from doing anything done by the ones who does not have the condition. If you do not stand up for yourself no one will. As the one's who were able to stand up, we are here to represent you, give you the courage to be inspired and rise up as well, but if you don't believe in yourselves no one will. Its starts with you. You can change how people think or assume things about you. We are all human afterall.
Who taught you how to Play a Guitar and how is the response from your fans towards it?

Lwazi Fatyela popularly known as Lwazi GB is a Rapper, sound engineer & Producer from Eastern Cape, Queenstown and currently based in Johannesburg. He has a strong social media presence and has over 200 000 followers on his social media accounts.
Lwazi GB released his debut EP titled ‘Icebo Lokuphila’ in 2019 and it did very well, receiving great reviews and was the no.1 selling hip hop album on Google Play and iTunes in South Africa for a couple of weeks. He also signed a publishing deal with Sheer publishing on the 22nd of February. His song ‘Hella Gud’ from Icebo Lokuphila EP that was featured on one of SA’s biggest TV shows (Rhythm City) for three weeks. His recent achievement is having his music video for the song ‘Lahla Lonja’ also taken from iCebo lokuphila EP play listed on Channel O. Lwazi GB writes, produces and mix and master his music.
His career began in 2008 and later in his music career, he had been exploring and working hard on his lyrical content and production skills, his sound and mastering got perfect enough to associate him with many artists around South Africa. He is a rapper, producer and a self-taught recording engineer and has worked with many up & coming artists all over South Africa, recording their albums and producing their beats.
As his career started blowing on the right direction; His music has been on heavy radio rotation on local and national radio stations. In September 2014 he entered a 5FM International Hip hop competition by Ms Cosmo. Lwazi GB won a hip hop competition called the ‘Rap Factor ‘on 5FM. The competition was hosted by Ms Cosmo and the benefit of this completion was that the winner would get a full beat produced by Tweezy and Record a song in Acoustic Media, the company that recorded AKA’s "Levels" album
In 2016 he won an award for ‘Best Hip Hop Artist’ in University of Forthare on the University awards that were hosted on a prestigious event, Centenary Celebrations. Moreover, He was invited to perform in Sliqe’s birthday party at Zone 6 Venue in Soweto (Johannes burg) (2017), He also performed in various events sharing a stage with big names in the music industry.
When did you realize that you can Rap and Produce Music?
I realized that I can rap in 2008. My friends and I used to host cyphers in school and we would invite people to watch us rap. At that time were just doing it for fun until the passion started kicking in and we decided to take music serious and record songs.
During that time I was just rapper/song writer and not a producer or sound engineer. I started recording my songs from other people’s studios. My first song was recorded by one of my friends ‘’Putuma Konqana also known as FLASH and he’s also the guy that taught me the basics of music production.
With the knowledge and experience I had, I decided to start my own recording label ‘’Cash Unit Records’’ In 2013 as I had a strong passion in recording and making beats and that’s when my journey as a producer & sound engineer began.
What is the good and the bad thing about Mzansi Hip hop according to your experiences?
The good thing is that hip hop in Mzansi has expanded in terms of listenership and fan base over the years and a result, musicians in the main stream are now thriving more and more and also upcoming musicians can also make something out of their careers.
The bad thing is that upcoming musicians are not given the same treatment as the main stream artists especially when it comes to radio & TV airplay.
How is the response from Friends and Family towards your Music Career?
The love & support my family and friends have shown towards me & my music career is overwhelming. My Mom and my late grandmother gave me their blessings to continue chasing my dreams.
Lwazi GB... What is the Story behind this Stage name?
Lwazi GB is a stage name I came up with when I started my music career. The acronym ‘GB’ stands for God being (Lwazi the God Being). I wanted to be different and unique as if I was not a human being, hence the name ‘Lwazi the God Being’.
What is one thing that people think you are which you are actually not?
People think I’m this serious guy because of my social media persona. I’m one of the craziest niggas you’ll ever meet especially when we connect and our chemistry is good.
What is the Motive behind most of the songs you write?
Most of the songs I write are influenced by my personal journey and the hardships that I’ve faced in life. I always strive to motivate others by telling my story so that when it’s all said and done, a kid from eKasi would know that it’s possible no matter what kind of background you came from.
In Few years to come, where will Lwazi GB be?
In a few years to come I want to be one of the biggest artists in Africa and also a multi-platinum selling artist and international music producer.
Who is your Celebrity Crush and why?
My celeb crush is Kamo Mphela. She started being my crush after that ‘Nkulu Nkulu’ song lol, I really love that song and the music video is just as amazing. I think she’s very talented and I like the fact that she’s authentic.
