Ellah Munyai is a Model and Actress from Shirley around Elim who seem to be passionate about what she does.

On the interview she mentioned things like; on most of the movies she acted, she was given characters that were given to other people who unfortunately couldn’t make it to the shoot, so she had to replace them.

The First movie that she acted, she only appeared on one scene where the character dies right at the beginning of the movie.

That didn’t discourage her as one of her achievements on the acting scene was when she was given a main character on the movie “Boss Lady” where she did a very good job on it.

Ellah is also a model who participated on few beauty pageants where she so far became a queen twice among all the competitions she participated on.
Now she is participating on Beauty pageants such as Miss South Africa Heritage and Miss Limpopo Heritage.

Lester Matthews Shares his experiences shooting Movies and Music Videos in the Villages of Limpopo province in South Africa.

Lester Matthews is from Chavani village where most of his shootings take place there. He shot the first music video using one of the Nokia Music Express cellphone where he now notices so many mistakes with edits.

The first Artist he worked with shooting these music videos was Stunna King around 2017

His First Movie to Shoot was “Mashangu ya Vutomi” where he was shooting for an organisation called “Dream Chasers” from his hood around 2020 or 2021. “Shooting that movie was a learning curve for me”; he says…

The challenges however after publishing these movies maybe be viewership… as shooting movies around his hood is still something that “doesn’t exist” so far. People are still surprised but excited to see people shooting and acting movies around rural areas or villages… “But there’s hope”… He says

Lester’s celebrity crush is Shamiso, which is J Molley’s Ex Girlfriend. Lester continues showing love to J Molley that he gets help asap but people like Emtee are the worst people to try to help J Molley…

Would you consider yourself as the King of Tsonga Rap or there's someone whom you can give the title to?

According to how I understand music (all genres), music has no King because vpeople don’t like the same style of music. That means, every individual has their own King. For example; Jesus was a King, but not all people considered Him as one. But

Would you consider yourself as the King of Tsonga Rap or there's someone whom you can give the title to?

I don't want to brag but the way I deliver my messages, I see no one who can do it the way I do, my Rhymes, Flows and Style, I'm the only Tsonga Rapper who spit my Style, so I dont consider anyone

Jungle George is a Rapper, Song writer, record producer and Model from a small town called Lindley in the Free State and I am currently doing my final year at UFS studying for a Bachelors Degree in Teaching at Bloemfontein.

Who or what got you into hip hop?

I was introduced to hip hop by my older brother who is also a hip hop artist. He was a little bit hood famous for doing music where I am from. Everytime my brother and his friends were recording in the backroom, I would always be listening through the window or outside because I was fascinated by the process of making music. I started writing songs and producing from the age of 16 and I will never stop.

What is the good and the bad thing about being a Rapper around your hood?

The good thing about being a rapper for me is the satisfaction I get after finishing a song because at that moment everything feels alright. Also I love to connect and collab with other artists and share ideas to improve each other's craft. I feel like I can only get better as I practice and learn new things.

The bad thing about being a rapper is the bullying you get from people because some of them think we are playing and will never become famous or successful in the music industry.

What is this one song that made a lot of people to know or love Jungle George?

The time I really got a lot of love from fans for the first time was when I released my first Mixtape back in 2022 called "Predator in Paradise" on Audiomac which got over 500+ plays.

How is the response from your family and friends towards your music journey?

When I first started, it was hard for friends and family to accept that I was doing music because I was not that good, but when I got covered by "G Cover Magazine" in 2020 for their artist on the rise edition which also covered a lot famous artists right now, they started believing in me.

Jungle George… what’s the story behind this stage name?

George is my actual middle name and where I come from we like to say that the hood or where we live is a jungle, so they used to call me "George of the Jungle", then I twisted it to Jungle George.

What is this one thing you wish to change about Hip hop in SA?

The lack of access to opportunities in the industry. There are a lot of really talented artists out here but there are not enough platforms.

What do you Love Most about your fans when you are on stage?

I don't mean to brag but I think my fans are the best, because they are always engaged when I perform they will sing along, scream and do nothing but show love to me so I appreciate them all. 🙏

Marvcash is a Rapper and Music producer, started as Rapper before he became a Music producer. Hes a “Trap god” Producer.

Who or what got you into hip hop?

I started listening to hiphop in 2006 and studied it, then made my 1st song in 2013. Lil Wayne and Kanye West were my biggest influencers.

What is the good and the bad thing about being a Rapper around your hood?

I dont wanna lie, Its hard being a rapper around my hood, especially if you rap internationally, support is very low, people dont relate to English compared to Tsonga Rap. So I had to learn to rap in my language to accomodate everyone.

What is this one song that made a lot of people to know or love Marvcash?

I remember my 1st tsonga rap song called "Bodhlele", that’s when i realised that our people want something they can understand or relate to. Since then I’m versatile… oh thanks to them. But the song that made my name remarkable not only around my hood was "We Real” feat. Cena" in 2018. That song is the reason i became a producer… it almost opened doors for me but then unfortunately the beat disadvantaged me since it was downloaded.

How is the response from your family and friends towards your music journey?

I only have only 2 family members who strongly support my music career; that be my brother Chris and My wife's Sister Norma.

Marvcash… what’s the story behind this stage name?

The name Marvcash comes from Marvin and Cash money… i dropped "in” and “money" and left with Marvcash.

What is this one thing you wish to change about Hip hop in your Hood?

I wish I could change how people in my hood see local Artists, I feel like the respect only comes when you are successful or grown to the point where you get recognised by outsiders 1st before your own people. In 2021 I won the beat battle called "BEAT EM" hosted by of the Top American Producer goes by the name RyiniProd from Los Angeles. I was announced on YouTube as the 3rd place winner!.

Mazola killa Mezzy (Real name Surprise Madonsela) well-known as “2pac Wam'Tsonga” is a Rapper born and raised in Mpumalanga in a very small village called Cork Trust, which falls under the Bushbuckridge Region. Mazola is an employee at Sabie River Bush lodge, he is a clothing designer of Tribal wears and the lead rapper for Bonfire OvG.

Who or what got you into hip hop?

I got into hip hop because of the likes of 2pac Shakur, Notorious Big , Snoop dogg, Dmx and many more rappers who rocked the game in the early 90's. However Pro-kid was the real motivation and inspiration behind it (RIP to him). 

What is the good and bad thing about being a rapper around your hood?

The good thing about being a rapper around my hood is how they welcome me as their own (which makes it easy for me to relax on stage and give it my all). They show me love and appreciate my hardwork. They understand the language I rap in and they always pull up at my gigs. The bad thing is when you release a track and people start thinking it is directed to them whilst Its not, which creates bad vibes and ruins relationships because real support starts where you come from; which is your hood.

How is the response from family and friends towards your music journey?

My family didn't understand when it all started but now they happen to be my number 1 supporters . My friends had my back throughout.

What is the story behind  the stage name Mazola Killa Mezzy?

Mazola was my fathers nickname Mezzy is Mazola inspired by Wezzy F Baby (lil wayne) then killa comes from my killer bars. 

Why do they Call you Tupac wa Mutsonga?

The name came from old folks around the hood , coz I resemble 2pac my raps motivate and inspire a lot of people

What happened to Bornfire?

Nothing happened, we are still a family, pushing individually yes- but currently working on an album titled " Bread winners" as Bornfire OvG.

What is the one thing I wish to change about Tsonga Rap?

There's none to change. Too bad tsonga rap is underrated but i'd love to see a lot of tsonga rappers being more versatile and take this rap international.
